Returns

Here at Uptown E Store we are confident you will be happy with your purchase, but should you want to return/exchange any item bought from us, we will be happy to return or exchange a product provided it is in a fully resalable condition in the Original Packaging.
In line with British Distance Selling Regulations you have a seven working day cooling off period after receiving your order:

Please note - this does not apply to bespoke 'made to measure' items which cannot be returned.

The customer must contact Uptown Eventing in the first instance within seven working days of receiving the items, to arrange the return/exchange, giving your reason for return.


Please note that when trying on items of clothing, please ensure that you are not wearing perfume/aftershave or a deodorant that may leave a scent of marks on the item.  We will be unable to accept the return of any item where there is evidence that these instructions have not been followed.  The item must be returned in its original condition with the relevant documentation within the timescales specified.

How to make a return
If you wish to return an item, you must notify us by email at info@uptowneventing.co.uk and please ensure to include the following on the email:

  • Put RETURNS in the subject box
  • Name
  • Address
  • Contact Phone Number
  • Items you are returning
  • Reasons for the return and comments (if any)
Once you have notified us that you wish to return the item/items, you must return the item/items to us as soon as possible.   All requests for returns after the 7 day period will be denied.

Returns are your responsibility as we do not offer a pre-paid returns service.  We recommend you send back items via Royal Mail Recorded Delivery or a similar trackable method.  In the event that we do not receive the returned goods, we will ask you to provide the certificate of posting from the post office as proof of postage.  We reserve the right to refuse a refund if you are unable to provide the certificate of posting.
If returned within the cooling off period, a refund for the product price and delivery charge will be initiated once we have received the returned goods.
We will usually refund any money received from you using the same method originally used by you to pay for your purchase.
The customer will be responsible for the delivery cost for returning the items unless there has been an error on our part or the item is faulty.

International Orders - Once shipped if you refuse a package then there will be a charge to return to the UK and we will debit this cost from your refund. YOU are responsible for any Customs Charges and Taxes charged in your country of residence and refusing a parcel because there are Customs Charges are a breach of contract and the return costs are your responsibility.
 
Orders are checked before being dispatched and are packaged well to avoid damage during transit, however, if your order is damaged or faulty when you receive it please notify us within 48 hours, after this time we will not accept responsibility.

Exchanges

For an exchange, we ask you place a note in the package with your specific requirements. Where we have not been at fault, we ask that you please add £6.50 in with the item to cover the postage to send out the new item.
